Mesa

The Mesa is where the day slows to the pace of a shared plate. Not a formal dining room — a table with good light and enough chairs that nobody has to be asked to leave.
A round table has no head, and that's the whole argument for it. Nobody presides. There's always room for a sixth chair, a seventh plate, the friend who said they couldn't stay and then stayed until midnight. The Comal is built for exactly that kind of evening — solid walnut you can lean your elbows on, a finish that forgives the red wine.
The chairs matter more than people think. A dinner is only as long as its least comfortable seat. The Curva is steam-bent to meet your back where your back actually is, so the lunch can become the afternoon without anyone shifting and checking their phone.

Round it out with a Llano along the wall — for the good glasses, the candles, the record player that comes on when the plates are cleared. The Mesa isn't a room you use twice a year. It's the one you'll wish you'd made bigger.
